Mission Statement
The purpose of the club is to: Promote appreciation and increase interest in the sport of flyfishing by means of education programs, fellowship and assistance to club members, youth and others, encouraging them to become better fly fishers and true sportsmen; Encourage and promote conservation and the betterment of fisheries, waters and watersheds; Support observance of fish and game laws and advocate the practice of catch and release fishing; Facilitate camaraderie through general membership meetings, clinics (fly fishing and fly tying), fish-outs, tier's cabins, banquets, annual barbeques, fly tying expos, and other social events; Raise funds and provide financial support to projects, organizations, agencies, in furtherance of the above purposes; Provide volunteer support for the betterment of the sport and fisheries.
 
Activities and Service
The Club does a number of projects in support of the Nevada Division of Wildlife. They include constructing information kiosks for posting information and regulations at popular fishing locations, assisting with annual spawning operations, assisting with stream population surveys, with fish relocation projects, LCT species preservation, and other projects as possible. The club also hosts fly fishing courses, fly tying courses, fly tying expos, and assists with beginning and intermediate casting clinics.
 
Meetings
The club meets the second Tuesday of the month from February through November. We have pre-meeting social time starting at 6:30 pm, with the actual meeting starting at 7:00 pm.  Meetings are held at the Carson City Sheriff's Office, at 911 E Musser St, Carson City, NV 89701.  Click for map

Awards
Two awards are presented annually at the annual fall banquet. 

The Fly Fisher of the Year award is a framed fly plaque,  presented to a member "for achievement of significant results toward education, habitat restoration, conservation or enhancement of fisheries or fly fishing". 

The President's Award is determined by the president and given to the member "who has contributed most to the assistance of the president or the benefit of the club"
